M62 Junction 20: Rochdale, Oldham

M62 J20: Thornham Interchange is where the A627(M) meets the M62. South of the junction is largely farmland and rural, while north of the M62 are the built-up areas of Balderstone and Rochdale. Take the A627(M) north towards Rochdale, about two miles away, or south past Chadderton Fold towards Chadderton.

Kirkholt and Trub are also beside the junction, and Tandle Hill Country Park is just south of the junction, about a mile away. Rochdale station and The Highfield Hospital are each about a mile and a half north, with the Crown Oil Arena about two and a half miles north. Elk Mill Shopping Park is about two miles south-east.

Heywood Interchange (J19) is about two miles west, and Milnrow Interchange (J21) about two miles north-east.
