M62 Junction 32: Pontefract, Castleford
M62 J32: Castleford Interchange is where three A-roads meet the motorway, the A639, A656 and A6196, with Colorado Way and Whistler Drive close by. North-west of the junction is an industrial area, with the built-up Castleford area to the north, while immediately south and north-east the land is rural.
North-west of the junction, beside Colorado Way, are Junction 32 Yorkshire Outlet shopping and the Xscape Yorkshire leisure centre. Glasshoughton station is under a mile west, and Pontefract is a little under a mile and a half south-east. RSPB Fairburn Ings is about two and a half miles north, and Moto Ferrybridge Services about two and a half miles east.
Normanton Interchange (J31) is about two and a half miles west; Holmfield Interchange (J32A) about a mile and a half east.
