M62 Junction 24: Huddersfield, Halifax (Ainley Top)
M62 J24: Ainley Top is spread over a number of roundabouts and interconnecting roads, which lead onto the A629 Calderdale Way north and the A629 south. North of the junction is a large industrial estate, with a mix of residential and industrial areas and some farmland in between before you reach Elland, about a mile north. South of the junction are the large residential areas of Lindley, Oakes and Salendine Nook, with Huddersfield beyond.
BMI Hospital Huddersfield is about a mile and a half south-east and Great Northern Retail Park about two and a half miles south-east. The Accu Stadium is about three miles east, while The Shay and Halifax station are both about three and a half miles north.
Outlane Interchange (J23) is about a mile and a half south-west; Clifton Interchange (J25) about four miles north-east.
