M62 Junction 21: Milnrow, Shaw
M62 J21: Milnrow Interchange is where the A640 and the A6193 Sir Isaac Newton Way meet the motorway. To the north-west of the junction, in the Milnrow area, is a very large Amazon distribution centre, and Milnrow itself is only about half a mile north. Newhey lies south of the junction, and immediately south-west is largely rural farmland.
About two miles north-east, in the Smithy Bridge area, is Hollingworth Lake Country Park. Kingsway Retail Park is about a mile north-west and Crompton Waterfall about a mile and a half south-east. Rochdale station is about two miles west, and Besom Hill Country Park about three miles south-east.
Thornham Interchange (J20) is about two miles south-west; Junction 22, up on the moors, is about four miles north-east.
